IN PROCESS
In Process is a weekly writing group with the shared goal of starting or finishing a creative project.
Many of us sit on ideas for months, sometimes years. We circle them. We talk about them. We wait for the right time, the right energy, the right conditions. In Process encourages us to interrupt that pattern by creating a consistent place to return to our imagination while building community.
WHAT TO EXPECT
-
Starting Thursday, January. 15th 2026:
Meet every Thursday from 5:30–8:00pm at Brim Café in Minneapolis
5:30–5:50pm
Arrival and brief check-in. Everyone names what they’re working on.5:50–7:50pm
Quiet work time. Writing, revising, outlining, or sitting with some ideas you have. You’re expected to use the time for projects you’re committing to.7:50–8:00pm
You can share where you landed and what you’re returning to next (optional), or connect with others.
-
This space is to build a habit of showing up. That means deciding in advance that setting aside the same 2 hours each week to lock in is a commitment you can keep.
-
You’re not expected to arrive with something new each session. You’re expected to keep moving in relation to what you’ve already started.
Continuity makes it possible for people to know your work, notice shifts, and support your momentum. If you’re looking for a drop-in space or a place to experiment with something different every week, this may not be the right fit.
